Daniel Vander Ley has been in active safety with cameras and lighting integration for 15 years. Working at Magna Electronics, Vander Ley launched Lane-departure-warning systems on Cadillac and Oldsmobile platforms and developed advanced Lidar and object detection systems as a systems engineer.
Vander Ley has also worked in braking safety design with Toyota, built a nano-kevlar battery technology startup that sold in part to Ford Motor Company, and has spent 5 years at amsOSRAM working on the industrialization of infrared illumination for Lidar and Automotive InCabin applications. Specializing in automotive safety products with amsOsram, Vander Ley consults with Tier-1s on system architecture, OEMs on system integration, and Software companies on quality image processing.
