Mr. Marco Belcastro is a Senior Application Engineer and team leader for the Embedded System Integration Team at Tyndall National Institute. He received his Master of Engineering (MEng), Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Università della Calabria (Italy) in 2011 with the highest mark of 110/110. After a 6 month internship, from October 2010 to March 2011, at Tyndall National Institute he earned his spot as a Research Assistant in the Wireless Sensor Networks Group and has been working on several projects since. In 2015 he became Senior Application Engineer, with the WSN’s intent to have one technical representative to engage in industry related projects. As Senior Application Engineer, he developed his knowledge in the whole prototyping process of electronic devices, from the design to the final encapsulation. He got specialized in taking top level specification and turning them into highly integrated electronic devices and he proved his ability in the use of hi-tech equipment for analysis, simulation and design. Mr. Marco currently resides in Cork and has been working in Tyndall National Institute for about 10 years.
