Joel founded drive.ai (acquired by Apple in 2019) and has been in the AV industry for over a decade. He was the key engineer for Supercruise freeway autonomy feature at General Motors and was a graduate fellow at Stanford AI Lab of which Drive.ai spun out of after receiving his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.
